Look, we're not in the business of collecting data for fun - we run a shop, not a tech startup. But yeah, we do need some info to actually help fix your ride and keep things running smooth.
When you book an appointment or drop off your car, we'll grab your name, phone number, email, and sometimes your address. Pretty standard stuff - can't really call you about your BMW's diagnosis without a phone number, right?
We keep records of your car's make, model, VIN, mileage, and service history with us. This helps us track what we've done before and what might need attention down the road. It's like medical records but for your vehicle.
Credit card details, billing addresses - the usual when you're paying for services. We don't actually store your full card numbers on our systems though. That goes through our payment processor 'cause they're way better equipped to handle that security stuff.
If you're poking around our site, we might collect some basic tech info like your IP address, browser type, and which pages you checked out. Helps us figure out what's working and what ain't.
We're gonna be straight with you - everything we collect serves a purpose. No weird stuff happening behind the scenes.
We won't sell your info to random marketing companies or spam you with junk. If we send promotional stuff (like seasonal maintenance reminders), you can always opt out.
Your data's stored on secure servers here in Canada. We take this seriously - last thing we need is someone's personal info getting leaked because we got lazy with security.
That said, nothing's 100% bulletproof. We do our best, but if there's ever a breach, we'll let you know ASAP and tell you what happened.
Service records? We hang onto those for several years - helps with warranty claims and tracking your vehicle's history. Personal contact info? As long as you're a customer. If you haven't been by in ages and don't respond to our check-ins, we'll eventually clear out old data.
We're not out here selling your data to the highest bidder. But yeah, sometimes we gotta share stuff with specific people to actually do our job.
When we're ordering parts for your specific vehicle, suppliers might need your VIN or other vehicle details. They need to make sure we're getting the right stuff.
Your payment info goes through third-party processors (like Stripe or Square). They've got their own privacy policies and security standards - usually way better than what a small shop could manage alone.
We use some cloud services for appointment scheduling, customer management, and email. These companies might technically have access to data, but they're contractually obligated not to use it for their own purposes.
If law enforcement shows up with a proper warrant, or we're legally required to disclose something, then yeah - we gotta comply. But that's pretty rare and we're not volunteering info without good reason.
We don't: Sell your data to marketers, share it with random third parties, or use it for anything beyond running our business and serving customers.
It's your data, so you've got some control over what happens with it. Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA) give you a bunch of rights, and we respect 'em.
Wanna know what info we have on you? Just ask. We'll pull up your records and show you what's there. Might take a few days to compile everything, but we'll get it done.
If something's wrong - old phone number, incorrect vehicle details, whatever - let us know and we'll fix it. Accurate records help everyone.
You can request deletion of your personal data. There are some limits though - we might need to keep certain records for legal or warranty reasons. But we'll delete what we can.
Don't wanna hear from us unless your car's actually in the shop? Cool, just say so. You'll still get essential communications (like "your car's ready"), but we'll skip the promotional stuff.
If you think we screwed up with your privacy, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd rather you talk to us first so we can fix whatever went wrong, but that's your right.
To exercise any of these rights, shoot us an email at service@crysthaneverse.info or give us a call.
Our website uses cookies - those little files that remember stuff about your visit. Nothing creepy, mostly just practical things.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, but some parts of the site might not work as smoothly. Most browsers let you control this pretty easily.
We don't use a ton of tracking stuff. No invasive ad networks or anything like that. If we add any third-party tools (like Google Analytics), they've got their own privacy policies you can check out.
We work with a few other companies to keep things running. Here's the deal with those relationships.
Sometimes we might link to manufacturer websites, parts suppliers, or other resources. Once you click away from our site, you're under their privacy policy - not ours. We try to only link to reputable places, but we can't control what they do.
Our booking system, email service, payment processor - these are run by other companies. We pick ones with solid security and privacy practices, but they've got their own policies you might wanna check out.
If we've got social media buttons or feeds on our site, those platforms might track that you visited us. That's more on them than us, but heads up.
Got questions about this privacy stuff? Something not clear? Think we messed up somewhere? Let's talk.

We'll get back to you within a couple business days. If it's about your car's service, calling is usually faster. But for privacy-specific questions, email works great so we have everything in writing.
We might update this privacy policy from time to time - new laws, new services, whatever. When we do, we'll update that "Last Updated" date at the top and maybe send out a notice if it's a big change. You should probably check back once in a while.
